Vision and Values
How we work and what we hold ourselves to.
Buildings are complicated enough.
Our aim is to make the work required to maintain and improve them easier to understand, easier to manage and easier to account for. That starts with how we work.
Making building services easier to manage
Our vision is to build QNEXA into a modern building-services organisation capable of supporting clients across the lifecycle of their buildings.
From an individual repair to planned maintenance, facilities support and multi-trade projects, we want clients to have a clearer route from identifying what needs to be done to knowing that it has been completed.
Connected through one accountable service.
What we hold ourselves to
Define it before we deliver it
Work should begin with a clear understanding of what has actually been agreed.
Scopes, instructions, changes and approvals should be recorded so the client and the people delivering the work are working from the same information.
Someone is accountable
Every project or requirement needs clear responsibility.
Clients should know who is managing the commercial side, who is responsible for operational delivery and where to go when a decision needs to be made.
Show the work
Completion should be supported by evidence, not simply a message saying that the job is finished.
Where appropriate, QNEXA records progress, photographs completed work and maintains the information required to provide a clearer record of what has been delivered.
Finish properly
Completing an individual trade does not necessarily mean the client’s problem has been resolved.
We look at the agreed outcome, address outstanding items through snagging where required and work towards a clear handover or sign-off.
Communicate the change
Building work does not always go exactly as expected.
If conditions change, additional work is identified or the agreed scope needs to change, that information should be communicated rather than quietly becoming part of the job.
Values you can see in the work

These principles influence the way QNEXA is being built. A requirement should be understood before work begins. The agreed scope should be clear. Responsibility should be identifiable. Changes should be communicated. Completed work should be evidenced. And the project should have a defined point of completion.
That creates a better record for QNEXA and greater visibility for the client.
Clear from start to finish
- Understand the requirement.
- Record the scope.
- Agree the commercial position.
- Confirm responsibility.
- Coordinate the appropriate people.
- Record relevant progress.
- Communicate changes.
- Deal with issues as they arise.
- Check the agreed scope.
- Record completed work.
- Address agreed snagging.
- Obtain handover or sign-off where applicable.
The purpose is not to create unnecessary administration. It is to reduce ambiguity.
A simple test
At the end of a piece of work, we should be able to answer:
What was agreed?
Who was responsible?
What was completed?
What changed?
Has it been handed over?
If those questions cannot be answered clearly, the process needs to improve.
Building the standard as we grow
QNEXA is still a growing company, and our systems will continue to develop with the business. What should not change is the principle behind them.
Clear information creates clearer responsibility.
As QNEXA grows across building services, facilities and projects, these principles should remain part of how work is scoped, managed, recorded and completed.
